Nagaland Football Coaches Association (NFCA) president Roko Angami launched the official jersey and anthem of Ura Uvie FC at L. Viluo Fifa ProTurf, Meriema on October 3 last.
“There is no shortcut in sports,” said international football player Roko while speaking at the launching programme.
In this, he challenged the sportspersons to place a lot of efforts and sacrifices to excel in the field of sports.
He said that football is not just the one who kicks the ball, pass and run but there are lots of things behind a successful footballer.
He insisted that discipline both within and outside the field in an essential component to succeed in sports.
Roko also challenged the players to take note that the hard work is the key to success.
Self-control is the most important weapon for sportsperson, he said and asked the sports persons to ensure that they apply the same in their conduct.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Viketuno Hiekha while Seyiekhriezo Kezieo, CYE chairman, CRC Meriema invoked God blessings.
Asenuo Metha presented a special number while Aneizo Keditsu spoke on management side.
Ura Uvie FC will be taking part in the forthcoming 22nd NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy 2022, starting from October 7 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
In its first match, Ura Uvie FC will face Kohima Dynamos FC on October 12.
