Er Kahuli Sema, Engineer-in-Chief, NPWD flags off the 64th Shena New Students’ Union session on December 27.

Zunheboto, December 28 (MExN): The 64th session of the Shena New Students’ Union (SNSU) held under the motto ‘Unity is Strength’ was flagged off by Er Kahuli Sema, Engineer-in-Chief, NPWD as special guest at Shena New on December 27.
Addressing the session, SNSU in a press release stated that Er Kahuli underscored the importance of students’ union. ‘The platforms of local students’ union play a vital role for the student community. Through this platform, students are trained and moulded to attain higher goals in life,’ she stated.
Stating example from her life, Sema said she grew up in a village and her early education begun at Shena Old. As a student she had served as general secretary in the students’ body at her native and that is how she has become what she is today, Sema stated while urging the SNSU to be committed leader and set good example to its fellow citizens.
Emphasising on role of teachers, she said that they must fully commit their service and give quality education to the students, ‘especially in the primary level, because it is the foundation that determines the student’s life.’
Talking on the menace of unemployment in the State, Sema reiterated that government job is not the only option. “There are still many avenues,” she stated and encouraged the students not to lose hope but work hard during the students life inorder to live a contended life in future.
On development in the region, Sema said, “there is an urgent need for improvement on infrastructural development in the region and to attain a good infrastructural development, everyone should be a responsible citizens and work collectively to unite and achieve the higher goals in the region.”
The programme began with an invocation by Kitoshi Achumi Associate Pastor Women, Shena New, welcome address was delivered by Inakha Achumi, Hd GB Shena New and vote of thanks was delivered by Vilivi Swu President, SNSU.
