
Kohima, June 14 (MExN): The Royal Club Kohima (RCK) held its general meeting cum picnic on Saturday at Pelevituo Farm on Kohima-Wokha road. The main highlights of the meeting included presentations of the Club activities reports and election of new team of office bearers. Exhorting the club members, Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire said in this fast paced generation, everybody has varied engagements where avenues need to be created for people to meet frequently. While reminding the members on their responsibility towards the Club, he urged them to be more cohesive in their approach and also to bring out novel ideas for the betterment of the Club in its endeavour towards serving the society. He also stressed on the documentation of records for future references. Outgoing president of the club, Atuolie Mepfuo in his address lamented few drawbacks during his tenure and called upon the members to bridge the generation gap and initiate innovative programmes to attract higher participation of the members as the general people have high expectation on the Club towards rendering yeoman service to the society.
