Royal Club Kohima general meeting held

Kohima, June 14 (MExN): The Royal Club Kohima (RCK) held its general meeting cum picnic on Saturday at Pelevituo Farm on Kohima-Wokha road.   The main highlights of the meeting included presentations of the Club activities reports and election of new team of office bearers.   Exhorting the club members, Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire said in this fast paced generation, everybody has varied engagements where avenues need to be created for people to meet frequently.   While reminding the members on their responsibility towards the Club, he urged them to be more cohesive in their approach and also to bring out novel ideas for the betterment of the Club in its endeavour towards serving the society. He also stressed on the documentation of records for future references.   Outgoing president of the club, Atuolie Mepfuo in his address lamented few drawbacks during his tenure and called upon the members to bridge the generation gap and initiate innovative programmes to attract higher participation of the members as the general people have high expectation on the Club towards rendering yeoman service to the society.

  Senior club members, Sezo Whourie, Viliethie Solo also spoke on the occasion and exhorted the fellow members not to bask on past glories but to introspect on one’s weakness and render the best to the club.   Kesao Kesiezie, Convernor, Search Committee presented the new team of office bearers for the tenure 2016-2018 headed by Er Kevizhatuo Miachieo as the President, Silie Mepfuo & Er Pelezotuo Miachieo as Vice Presidents, Kenei Peseyie as General Secretary, Neisakuolie Belho as Treasurer and Visatso Kuotsu as Property Secretary.
