Wokha, November 21 (MExN): Royal Tribals emerged as champions of the 3rd WDCA Inter-Club Cricket Tournament 2024-25 after defeating EYL in the final on November 21 at the local ground in Wokha.

Batting first, Royal Tribals set a challenging target of 163 runs in 20 overs, with captain Lijanbemo Patton leading the charge, scoring an impressive 78 runs.

In their chase of 163, EYL were bowled out for just 105 runs in 17.2 overs, falling short of the target. Patton’s all-round performance earned him the Man of the Match award for the final.

Meanwhile, Nchumbemo Humtsoe was named the Man of the Tournament, while the title of Best Disciplined Team went to Mavericks CC.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by former Wokha District Cricket Association (WDCA) President, Khamongo Humtsoe.
