
Maligaon, July 11 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will organize Rozgar Melas at three major locations, Guwahati, Dimapur, and Siliguri, today, as part of the Government of India’s flagship nationwide employment initiative. Led by the Ministry of Railways in coordination with other Central Ministries, the Rojgar Mela aims to facilitate the distribution of appointment letters to newly recruited candidates selected for various government positions.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute over 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth across various government departments and organizations on July 12 at approximately 11:00 AM via video conferencing. This marks the 16th edition of the Rozgar Mela, which is being held simultaneously at 47 locations nationwide, from urban metros to smaller regional centers.
The recruitments span key Central Government Ministries and Departments, including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and the Ministry of Labour & Employment, among others.
Within the Northeast Frontier Railway zone, a total of 625 appointment letters will be distributed to candidates selected for various positions across different government departments, according to a press release by Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of NFR.
