RPF rescues three minors

Guwahati, July 29 (MExN): The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Rangapara under Rangiya Division of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) rescued 3 minor boys and handed them over to their guardians on July 28, informed an official statement. 

 


The RPF team of Rangapara escorting train no 15618 DN  Donyi Polo Express   reportedly received telephonic information regarding 3 boys  who fled away  from their home  without any information of their guardians, said the statement from the NFR Chief Public Relations Officer Pranav Jyoti Sharma.

 


The train escort party immediately swung into action and detected the boys and handed them over to RPF post Rangapara, who informed their guardian and handed over to them safe and sound, it added. 

 


In another incident on July 28, RPF personnel of Rangiya along with QRT (Quick Response Team) staff of RPF detected one minor girl and one minor boy in distressed condition on the station, the CPRO’s statement informed. 

 


‘On repeated enquiry they disclosed their identities and disclosed that both of them had fled from their home. As both were minors, they were brought to the RPF Post in Rangiya so that they don’t fall into the hand of traffickers,’ it said.  
Later they were handed over safely to Child Line, Kamrup for necessary action, it added. 

 


In a recent drive, the RPF  have rescued as many as 17 minor boys and girls  from different stations /trains within NFR jurisdiction.
