Dimapur, November 11 (MExN): The Rising People’s Party on Thursday congratulated Dr SC Jamir for being conferred with Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award, by the Republic of India.
Terming Dr Jamir’s contribution in politics as ‘unparalleled’, the RPP commended his achievement and stated that, “It’s a proud moment for all Nagas.”
“Despite what his detractors say, Dr. SC Jamir’s name is etched in history. His legacy is guaranteed in the annals of history and the Rising People’s Party wishes him a long life,” it added.
NCSU: Meanwhile, in a separate statement, the Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) also congratulated the veteran leader. “NCSU fondly remembers Dr. S. C. Jamir’s Leadership whose immense support of Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers’ lead to many achievements and success. We congratulate his success as the award echoes the sentiments of all his contributions to society, he is truly deserved of such honour,” it stated. The NCSU also wished Dr Jamir and his family good health and long life.
