Kohima, August 12 (MExN): Dr Roland Lotha, chairman of RSON Heart for Poor People Trust, Dimapur, met Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav at Raj Bhavan in Kohima on August 12.
According to the Trust, Lotha apprised the Governor of the social service activities and welfare programmes being undertaken by the organisation for the upliftment of poor and marginalised sections of society in Nagaland.
Lotha also submitted a memorandum highlighting developmental issues and public concerns in the state and sought the Governor’s guidance and support for their early redressal.
During the meeting, Lotha also conveyed the aspiration of the people for an early and honourable solution to the Indo-Naga political issue. He requested the Governor’s proactive engagement and continued guidance in facilitating the process towards its logical conclusion.
The Trust stated that the Governor heard the submissions and received the memorandum, while appreciating the humanitarian work being carried out by the organisation.
