Winners of the inter house junior volleyball championship of Sainik School Punglwa.
DIMAPUR, APRIL 10 (MExN): The Inter-House Junior Volleyball Championship 2018-19 of Sainik School Punglwa was held from April 5 to 9.
Matches were played on a league cum knockout system and best of three sets. After well fought matches played between six mother houses, Melak House and Japfu House qualified for the final.
In a nail biting final match, Melak House defeated Japfu House by 2 sets to 1 set. Rishabh Raj, the skipper of Melak House with his consistent performance throughout the championship led his team to victory over Japfu House. He was also adjudged the best player of the championship.
Lt Col Kiran Meitei, Officiating Principal, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and gave away the certificates and medals to the winners. He also congratulated the winning team and complimented other participating teams for putting up good fight.
