Dimapur, October 22 (MExN): Five organisations from Saksi NAP Sector (13th Ward) Tuensang has made a representation to the Chief Engineer (D & R), Department of Power regarding the “random electricity billing structure in the latest issue of the bill” in the sector. Despite “lamenting” before Executive Engineer office (Electrical Division) Tuensang over the revised higher billing rates randomly charged upon the consumers during the past three months, there is no possible response or adherence from the concerned department office, the memo said.
It has resulted in burdening the already affected consumers, it added compelling them to write to the Chief Engineer.
The consumers have no other option but decided to withhold the “payment of electricity bill until and unless the department concern complies with the demands intimated in letters to the office," it said.
In this connection, the general publics of Saksi NAP sector, Tuensang under the initiative of four tribal bodies (viz. Chang, Khiamniungan, Sangtam and Yimchunger) have jointly decided to place our demand and grievances, it added.

The billing structure of the Sector should be at par with the bill charged upon the remaining outpost consumers under SDO Division- I which have been followed till the last paid months since the ward shares the same power load connectivity linked from the outpost Transformer/feeder, it added.
