DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 21 (MExN): The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) units of Salesian College of Higher Education, in collaboration with the Blood Centre of the District Hospital, Dimapur, organised a blood donation camp on September 20.

The programme began with Fr. Elow Samuel invoking blessings, calling the act of blood donation the “gift of life.”
Dr. Rongsen Longkumer, in-charge of the Blood Centre, highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and its life-saving role. He also spoke on the health benefits for donors, describing the practice as a mutually beneficial contribution to society.

A total of 22 units of blood were collected during the camp, which will be used for patients at the District Hospital, officials said.
College authorities said the initiative reflected the institution’s commitment to nurturing socially responsible citizens alongside academic excellence.
