Dimapur, November 5 (MExN): Salesian College of Higher Education (SCHE) hosted the annual youth meet on November 5, where around 600 young people from 40 centers participated.
Fr. Joshua Gangmei, sdb, the principal of Don Bosco hoisted the flag and declared the meet open. The inaugural function was followed by a prayer service conducted for the participants with an objective of bringing about spiritual transformation, said a press release from SCHE.
At the animation programme, the participants were divided into three groups – English, Hindi and Rongmei. The brothers of Salesian College spoke on the theme of self and social change.
There was also a cultural programme consisting of a number of items by different centers.
During the programme, the chief guest, Dr. Dizichü Simon, President of Catholic Association of Nagaland underscored that fear should be overcome and that personal responsibility will bring about change, the release informed. He also exhorted all the participants to make a change in their personal life “because after all destiny is a choice.”
Fr. T.C. Joseph, the guest of honour also highlighted that love and sincerity are personal responsibilities.
