NCC cadets of Salesian College of Higher Education during the Swachh Bharat drive held at the Dimapur Railway Station on March 21.
Dimapur, March 23 (MExN): In alignment with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the 24 Nagaland Battalion NCC unit of Salesian College of Higher Education organised a Social Service and Community Development (SSCD) programme on March 21 to promote hygiene and sanitation at the railway station in Dimapur.
The initiative began at 7:00 am with a brief orientation by the caretaker officer. The “Pick Up for Cleanliness” drive highlighted the NCC’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
A total of 26 NCC cadets participated in the programme under the guidance of the Caretaker Training Officer (CTO). By extending their efforts beyond the college campus to a public landmark, the cadets emphasised the importance of collective voluntary action in maintaining a clean environment.
The organisers stated that such initiatives reinforce the role of youth in community development and contribute towards achieving the goals of a cleaner and healthier society.
