Dimapur, July 17 (MExN): Philosophy Department of Salesian College of Higher Education organised a one-day seminar on ‘Jiddu Krishnamurti: Relationship without Dependence’ sponsored by the Indian Council of Philosophical Research.
Dr Dominic Meyieho from St Joseph’s College (A), Jakhama, delivered a lecture on Krishnamurti’s rejection of psychological authority and his call for inner freedom. “Relationship without Dependence” is to let go of all sorts of dependence and also to do away with memories, relationships and things from the past. Freedom must begin without dependence and choiceless awareness is the freedom.
The seminar aimed to unpack Krishnamurti’s revolutionary idea on human relationships, freedom, and psychological dependence. The event featured reflective sessions that encouraged participants to question conventional notions of attachment and identity.
The seminar was chaired by Petrick Paslein and opened with a welcome address by Dr. Paul Punii, Principal, who emphasized the relevance of Krishnamurti’s philosophy in today’s complex and interconnected world. He also thanked the Principals of Norman Putsure and NEISSR Colleges for sending their students to participate in the seminar.
