Kohima, September 23 (MExN): Samagra Shiksha Nagaland in collaboration with Top Prosthetics Orthotics Rehabilitation Centre (TRORC) Imphal, distributed a total number of 664 aids and appliances for the Children with Special Needs (CwSNs) to 203 beneficiaries during the Distribution Camps conducted in the districts from September 7 to 13.

The aids and appliances assistance were provided to CwSNs based on identification made during the Assessment Camps conducted in the 46 Educational Block Resource Centre (EBRCs) from March 14 to 26 this year. Temsunaro Aier, State Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland informed that participation in the assessment camps for identification of locomotor disability is vital for children with special needs to avail benefit from the Samagra Shiksha scheme. The Assessment Camps are conducted every year for identification of children with locomotor disabilities. This activity is funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
