First to secure top 20 in 33 year’s school history

A class ten student recently made history at Dimapur Mission Higher Secondary School (DMHSS). Since the establishment of the school in the year 1985, Sangerbenla Tzudir became the first in the record of the school to secure a position in the Top 20 in any Nagaland Board of School Education Examinations.
Sangerbenla secured the Top 6 Position in the recently declared NBSE HLSC 2018 results.
Celebrating the momentous achievement, Sangerbenla says that she attributes it to Almighty God, her loving parents, faithful teachers and supportive relatives, friends and loved ones. “It is also because of the tears of faith of my parents and loved ones that I am able to achieve this huge success,” says Sangrebenla who also is the subject topper in Science (100 marks).
For her future, she is planning to opt for Science Stream then study engineering to become an astronaut. “I am actually dependent on God for my future endeavours,” she adds.
Sharing about her study routine and preparation for the exam, Sangerbenla states that she studied 4-5 hours on normal days, 12-13 hours three months before the examination and 16-17 hours during the exam.
Along with her, 16 other students achieved HSLC 2018 distinctions in various subjects and the School also recorded 100% passed result.
Dimapur Mission School now called Dimapur Mission Higher Secondary School, sponsored by Dimapur Ao Baptist Church was established in the year 1985 bringing to fulfillment the decision taken by the Church in commemoration of its Silver Jubilee Celebration in October 1983.
The School, affiliated to the Nagaland Board of School Education, was upgraded to Class-10 standard and Higher Secondary segment in the year 1989 and 2001 respectively.
