The three days spiritual retreat organised by United Sangtam Baptist Lithro Ashimukhong, (USBLA) under the theme ‘Refreshing the soul’ at Arenthru Tethoyu concluded on February 15, which was attended by pastor and church workers from all across the Sangtam area.
The speakers of the theme were Er Sao and Rev Alemla. Sharing during the devotional, Er Sao, dwelt on the importance of remembering the vows each one has taken when the decision to work for his kingdom was taken. With God everything has a purpose, he said while appealing the workers to fulfill the purpose of their calling where ever they are serving.
Sharing from the book of Genesis and dwelling on biblical stories, the speaker asked the church workers to remember His blessings at all times and not to forget once we are so blessed.
The programme also witness dialogue which was led by Lipichem and Dr Holiba where issues like church administration, centralization, financial management, evangelism and vision 2025 were discussed.
Sharing his journey as full time worker former Executive Secretary USBLA, Rev Tsangkhuch also encouraged the church workers with the story of how they struggled without proper facility to work for the extension of His kingdom.
Seopi, President, USLP also spoke on the occasion and appealed the church workers to keep the USLP and Nagas in prayers. He appreciated the church workers for their dedicated service undergoing all the difficulty for the extension of God’s kingdom.
Lilongla, Christian Education Secretary and host of participants presented special song. Prayer walk, prayer time, group game, sports, story sharing were the highlight of the three day event.
