Sanitation workers in Mokokchung receive free oral cancer screening

Mokokchung, May 8 (MExN): The National Oral Health Programme (NOHP) under Dr. Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) Mokokchung organised a free oral cancer screening event on May 8.

The screening targeted the sanitation workers of the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC).

During the screening, Dr. Keneitheja, Dental Surgeon at IMDH Mokokchung, emphasised the importance of early detection in oral cancer, noting that screenings could save lives through timely treatment.

Taliyangshi, Health Incharge and MMC Councillor, expressed gratitude to the Health Department for the initiative and urged the continuation of such community-focused programmes in the future.

The sanitation workers were also provided with free oral hygiene kits that included toothpaste, a toothbrush, and medicines, informed a press release.
