Mr and Miss Miss Freshers of Sao Chang College 2022 Shangjep and Changlenla H.
Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): Sao Chang College Tuensang celebrated its 49th Freshers Day on October 1 at the college campus under the theme ‘Embracing Excellence’ with Dr Vitsosie Vupru, Principal of the college as the speaker.
According to a press release received here on Sundayt, Dr Vupru exhorted the students to set their standards high by aiming to compete with the rest of the world. Based on the core concept of NEP 2020, which is to provide maximum skill enhancement courses along with vast options in academics, Dr Vupru encouraged the students to experience and explore as many opportunities as possible but at the same time to prioritize securing quality results in academic performance. He concluded his speech by informing the students that the college will be celebrating its Golden Jubilee in 2023 and that they must consider themselves fortunate to witness such important event during their stay in college.
Highlights of the programme included performances such as rap, beat boxing, songs and dance by the students. After excellent performance by all 25 contestants for the title, Shangjep and Changlenla H were crowned Mr & Miss Freshers of Sao Chang College 2022 respectively.
The programme was conducted successfully with enthusiastic participation from all the students and faculty of the college, the release stated.
