DIMAPUR, AUGUST 11 (MExN): Sao Chang College organized a One Day Entrepreneur Awareness Programme on August 10 aimed at fostering entrepreneurial skills and inspiring innovation among aspiring entrepreneurs. 

The event was supported by the North Eastern Council (NEC), Shillong, and the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati, which played a key role as the nodal agency, offering essential resources and guidance.

The day began with an interactive session where participants were encouraged to share their business ideas, fostering an environment of collaboration and idea exchange. 

In the first session, Aochuba Jamir, a Post Graduate Teacher (Physics) at Govt Hr. Secondary School, Tuensang, discussed the significance of business models in entrepreneurship. He provided insights into various business models, their implementation, and their impact on the success of businesses.

The second session was led by Yanger Kichu, the Farm Manager at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Tuensang, who explored the entrepreneurial opportunities in Nagaland. He highlighted the region's unique resources and the potential for growth in sectors like agriculture, handicrafts, and eco-tourism.

Takumpuba Lomou, an Assistant Professor at Sao Chang College, conducted the third session, focusing on sales and marketing strategies. He shared practical techniques for reaching customers and building a strong brand presence in competitive markets.

The event attracted over 40 participants from diverse fields, including students, local business owners, and aspiring startups. 

Dr. Lanurenla, Principal of Sao Chang College, delivered the welcome note, reaffirming the institution's commitment to supporting entrepreneurial education and innovation. She encouraged participants to leverage the resources and expertise offered during the programme.

Dipak Nath, Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at SCC, outlined the technical modalities of the programme, discussing its objectives and the importance of entrepreneurial thinking in today's fast-paced world.

The event was chaired by Ciekrovoto Theluo, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at SCC, who ensured the programme ran smoothly. The day concluded with a vote of thanks from A. Chubasangla Chang, Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Development Centre at SCC, who expressed gratitude to the sponsors, speakers, and participants for their contributions to the event's success.
