KIPHIRE, SEPTEMBER 28 (MExN): Saramati Nexus Club triumphed over Kiphire Knight Riders, by 4 wickets to win the Kiphire District Cricket Association (KDCA) Silver Jubilee tournament trophy on Saturday.
The match began featured impressive performances from both teams. Rajesh Das was named the highest run scorer, while Ritik Kumar took home the title of highest wicket-taker and was also awarded Man of the Match. Peusuthong was recognized as the best wicketkeeper.
Following the match, an award presentation ceremony commenced at 3 PM, attended by key stakeholders and dignitaries. Atsoba, Secretary of the Planning Cum History Committee, presided over the ceremony, which began with an invocation by Lumthsa L Sangtam.
Justin Khatomong T, President of the KDCA, in his address expressed gratitude to all sponsors, players, and officials for their contributions. He reaffirmed the KDCA’s commitment to promoting sports and youth development in the district and urged continued community support.
Luthong Yimkhiung, PA to the Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire, congratulated the KDCA on the successful execution of the tournament.
