
Medziphema, June 1 (MExN): School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development, Nagaland University, Nagaland added yet another distinction to their academic brilliance. Rokolhuii Keditsu Nakro, Assistant Professor at Department of Horticulture, Nagaland University, Medziphema was conferred “Fellow of Confederation of Horticulture Associations of India”, New Delhi during the International Conference on Water Management for Climate Resilient Agriculture held at Jalgaon, Maharashtra during May 28-31, 2013.
The conference was jointly organized by Confederation of Horticulture Associations of India, New Delhi; ASM Foundation, New Delhi and Jain Irrigation Systems Limited, Jalgaon, Maharashtra. She was presented with Letter of citation, Fellowship certificate and silver plated memento.
During the Conference, she deliberated on an important issue of exploiting meteorological conditions for modeling of gerbera cultivation under open field conditions of Nagaland. The concept as such was widely appreciated by the participating delegates. The conference met with a thumping success.
