SASSU pays courtesy visit to PHC Sitimi

Dimapur, May 30 (MExN): The Sitimi Area Sangtam Students' Union(SASSU) informed that it paid a courtesy visit to PHC Sitimi town on May 29 and discussed about COVID-19 pandemic and other medical related issues.

 

While acknowledging the service of the front line workers, SASSU stated that the response of the Medical Officer (MO) was satisfactory as he could not divulge details with the visiting team “as per the directive of higher authorities.”

 


SASSU also donated Rs 5000 to PHC Sitimi town to aid the COVID-19 combat. Chairman SASSU Aketo V Sangtam stated that “We are collectively responsible in order to fight the global pandemic.” 

 

The SASSU officials also visited EAC Sitimi and appreciated his services as the spot officer. They discussed matters relating to COVID-19, quarantine centres at Sitimi Area etc.


The Union also appealed to all the village authorities under its jurisdiction to avoid any sort of stigmatization of the returnees and to support them in all possible ways.
