Kohima, January 14 (MExN): The 73rd annual general session of Southern Angami Students’ Union (SASU) was held at Kezoma Urban Station, hosted by its students’ union on January 14 under the theme ‘Re-Orienting Way Forward.’

The one-day conference was attended by a thousand delegates from 13 units (village), stated a press release. 

Earlier in the day, guest speaker Videlalie Zashümo, DIG, HQ, challenged the students to realize their talents and potentials, thereby becoming successful in ones own way of expert or interest. He called upon the area people to stand united and have a progressive mindset.

Later in the day, Dr Visakhonü Hibo, Principal, Japfü Christian College, spoke about local farming and job oriented business by localizing products available in the area and making them global. 

The conference also witnessed debate competition. The new team of SASU was elected with Letso Mekro as President, Zayiekhoto Sale as Vice President and Kevingoto Sachü as General Secretary along with 14 other executives.
