Zunheboto, January 29 (MExN): A Farmer Scientist Interaction and Joint Visit was organised by ATMA Zunheboto with KVK, Lumami at Sasutami Village on January 24.
A press release stated that during the interactive session various queries were discussed on topics pertaining to livestock management, pest management of agricultural crops, mushroom cultivation, soil testing and soil health card etc between the farmers and scientists.
Resource persons Dr Z Nongothung Ezung, SMS (Animal Science) spoke on the General Principles of Poultry and Piggery Production and Wapangtoshi LKR, ACTO (Plant Protection) educated the farmers on Insect _pest control of common agricultural crops.
The programme was chaired by Aolemla Kichu, BTM Akuluto. 30 farmers mostly women farmers from Sasutami and Izheto village along with SDAO Akuluto and staff attended the programme.
