Dimapur, May 5 (MExN): The Department of Power has announced scheduled power shutdowns in Peren and Mon districts to facilitate vegetation clearing and transmission line maintenance.
In Peren, a shutdown of the 66kV Ganeshnagar Transmission Feeder will take place on the following dates:
May 7: 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM
May 8: 6:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
According to a press release issued by the Executive Engineer of the Transmission Division, Dimapur, the shutdown will affect power supply to consumers under Peren district and areas served by the Ganeshnagar Substation. The department has sought the cooperation of all affected consumers and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused.
Meanwhile, in Mon district, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pakon Phom has informed that there will be a total shutdown of power from May 5 to May 10 between 8AM and 4PM each day. The shutdown is to facilitate vegetation clearance along the 132kV and 66kV transmission lines under the Transmission Division, Mokokchung.
The ADC has appealed to the general public for cooperation during the shutdown period and regretted the inconvenience caused.
