SCTE Kohima holds 3rd Graduation Day for B.Ed Class of 2026

Kohima, August 15 (MExN): The State College of Teacher Education (SCTE), Kohima, held its 3rd Graduation Day for the B.Ed Class of 2026 on August 12, with 44 student-teachers receiving their degrees.

Prof. Gyanendra Nath Tiwari, Head of the Department of Teacher Education, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema, graced the occasion as the Graduation Guest. He conferred the B.Ed degrees on the graduating student-teachers and addressed the gathering.

The programme was compered by Anisha Himb, Assistant Professor. Dr. Khreizonuo Belho, Assistant Professor, delivered the welcome address, followed by a congratulatory note from Dr. Asale Vitso, Assistant Professor.

A special song was presented by the B.Ed 3rd Semester student-teachers, while Rizi Sangtam delivered the graduates' speech. 

One of the highlights of the programme was the presentation of Special Awards by Khrieno, Headmistress of Bayavu Higher Secondary School. Special Testimonials were presented to selected graduating student-teachers in recognition of their leadership qualities, team spirit, achievements and contributions to the college community.

The four student-teachers who received testimonial certificates were Rizi Sangtam, Amit Sonar, Razukhweto Tacu and Imnanaro Aier.

The occasion also recognised the academic achievement of Swedezhonuo Kirha, who secured the 18th rank in the Top 20 list of the Nagaland University B.Ed Examination 2026. She was presented with a Commendation Certificate.

Another significant moment of the programme was the release of the college magazine by  Joseph Keneisetuo Belho, a senior teacher of PM Shri GMS, L. Khel, Kohima Village.

The programme concluded with a word of gratitude delivered by Dr. Thronlem Jorlim Konyak, Assistant Professor.
