Kohima, August 29 (MExN): As part of the ongoing crackdown by security forces to curb anti-social elements, three cadres of ULFA (I) were apprehended near Noglo in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh on August 28, according to an official statement. “Based on specific intelligence regarding presence of suspected cadres in the area, the security forces launched an operation and apprehended all three individuals,” a release from PRO (Defence) Kohima stated.
The troops also recovered three pistols, three magazines with three live rounds and three ULFA badges, it added. The apprehended persons along with recovered items have been handed over to Laju Police Station, Tirap, for further investigations.
