Cash, liquor, drugs among seized items
Kohima, November 1 (MExN): Seizure of cash, alcohol and drugs amounting to Rs 13.42 lakh was reported by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Nagaland on November 1.
The seizures were made by the Flying Squad Team/Static Surveillance Team/Excise/other agencies in both the 14 Southern Angami 1 AC and 60 Pungro- Kiphire AC till date.
Disclosing the nature of the seizures, the office of the CEO aid that cash seizure till date is about Rs 6 lakh while the total value of seized liquor is about Rs 6.64 lakh. The value of drugs (cough syrup) seized was about Rs 78,000 and the overall value of the seizures was about Rs 13.2 lakh. 425 persons have been bound down under preventive sections of CrPC up till today in both constituencies, it added.
