Phek, February 8 (MExN): The 38th meet of the Sekrüzu Area Sports Association (SASA) got underway today at Sekrüzu HQ under Phek district.
Shevohü Nienu, 1st class contractor, Nagaland graced the inaugural function as the chief guest and encouraged the players to strive for excellence at the higher level. He unfurled the association’s flag and declared the meet open, which will continue till February 13.
Bilhünyi Nyekha, President, Sekrüzu Area Public Forum and Rüzazho Village Council Chairman, Jolelhü Swuro also addressed the gathering.
SASA President, Müdotüzo Tetseo delivered presidential address while SASA Games & Sports Secretary, Pothito Nyekha administered oath to the participating teams.
The inaugural function was chaired by SASA Vice President, Vekütho Swuro.
The meet is being marked by track and field events, football, volleyball, basketball and wrestling.
