Kohima, September 26 (MExN): Sazolie College of Teacher Education (SzCTE), Kohima, alongwith Nagaland State Disability Forum (NSDF) conducted a seminar on inclusive education on September 25, with resource persons Kezhaleto Zecho, President, NSDF and Ashe H Kiba, General Secretary, NSDF. A press release issued by SzCTE stated that Kezhaleto talked about the activities initiated by NSDF for the welfare of PWDs in Nagaland. The Forum is blessed with achievements like opening District Disability Rehab Centre across the state, he said adding that they are putting efforts to reach out to all the districts in the state. 


Ashe Kiba talked about the role of teachers and administrators in schools, stating that no child should be deprived of any type of disability and their disabilities shouldn't be a barrier to participation from curricular and co-curricular activities. She said that there are 21 types of disabilities which need to be addressed and respected at various levels. The programme was led by Vilakhole Naki, Assistant Professor SzCTE and a vote of thanks was delivered by Mhalo of B.Ed 3rd semester.
