A seminar on astronomy was conducted at Azedon High School, Kohima on January 19.

Kohima, January 19 (MExN): Innovation Hub & Space Education Centre, Nagaland Science Centre, Department of Science & Technology, Nagaland conducted a seminar on astronomy at Azedon High School, Kohima on January 19.
The seminar themed as ‘Back to the Moon’ was primarily focused on the Moon while a general insight was also given to the Universe, Er V Zhale, Junior Mentor, Department of Science & Technology stated in a press release.
Asecho Cosmos Phinyo, a science communicator and enthusiast who also has authored the book “Sunlight and its effect on the Environment” delivered the keynote address and interacted with the participants as the resource person of the seminar.
The participants numbering about 60, including teachers and students also observed heavenly bodies as well as terrestrial objects through three different telescopes viz a Schmidt -Cassegrain Telescope, a Newtonian Telescope & a terrestrial telescope.
The event was followed by a rapid-fire quiz based on the theme where Vane Tsuziih, class-10 of Azedon School emerged as the winner.
The programme was chaired by Sentinaro, Headmistress, Azedon High School.
