ARK Foundation, President, Ketho Angami in his address said the objective of the project is to contribute to the promotion of peace and sustainable development by enhanced integration of SDG framework and increased participation of youth and youth-led civil society organizations (CSOs) at the local and state development processes.

Dr P Ngully speaking on ‘A healthy remembrance’ has elaborated in detailed on the importance of living a healthy life.
Particularly emphasising on the ‘psychological baggage’ he explained this as an emotional baggage that weighs one down. This, he said, is a crucial aspect that people must make it a priority in today’s fast paced competitive world.

Angami spoke on ‘TB response in SDG Goal 3’ describing it as the leading infectious cause of death worldwide. Presenting the statistics in brief, he informed that TB is the number one killer of people with HIV accounting for 300,000 deaths in 2017.

While lamenting lack of proper diagnostic and treatment facility, Angami urged the members present to empower the community with the right knowledge of TB to end it through concerted efforts.

Meanwhile, Dr Joyce Angami launched the project’s website ‘Leaving No One Behind.’

It may be mentioned that the project ‘Leaving No One Behind: Building Pathways for Peace in the Northeast via Engagement of Civil Society and Youth Leaders’ was started by NFI in the states of Assam, Manipur, and Nagaland in 2020 with support from the European Union (EU).

The ‘Leaving No One Behind’ programme is located in nine districts across the three states of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland in Dimapur, Kohima, and Tuensang in Nagaland.

Ten Field Coordinators or FCs from the respective locations were identified, trained, and commissioned to reach out to their communities, especially the youth, and sensitise them to the UN SDGs 2030.
