Sensitization on ‘Poverty Reduction Plan’ held

Kuhuboto, October 12 (MExN): Sensitization on ‘Poverty Reduction Plan for the FY 2020-21’ which is to be presented during the upcoming Gram Panchayat Development Plan by the SHGs was conducted by BMMU Kuhuboto, NSRLM. 

The programme was chaired by Zhevi Achumi, Area Coordinator BMMU Kuhuboto, JE (RD), Tokiho Chophy encouraged the SHGs to come forward and take full benefit of the scheme. Chophy said that through his experience working at RD Department, he can strongly advocate that benefits of any scheme can be received only through the willingness and participation of the beneficiaries. 

The various aspects of the scheme were covered by Respective Thematic Area Coordinators in charge. 

Chenton Konyak, Block Program Manager, BMMU Kuhuboto explained about the role of SHGs in the social and economic development and well being of the Village and the society as a whole. This was followed by question hour. 
The participants were VLO leaders, Community Cadres from all the Villages under RD Block Kuhuboto.
