DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 10 (MExN): Sentsüdy (PB Sen) Yanthan, a young aspiring author and poet, released a collection of poetry on December 9 at Pangti Baptist Ekhumko Ki Wokha Town. The book was released by MLA Achümbemo Kikon. Kikon said that the author is a very dedicated and hard working person who never compromises with his goal. He said that writing a book isn't an easy task and one needs to work hard consistently with hard work and dedication.
The book titled ‘Müngyanyi, A Lotha Naga Poetry’ explores a range of topics that are very dear to the young writer. Growing up in a land that takes pride in the history of survival and triumph through different epochs, and celebrates the making of who we are as a people today, Sentsüdy does not hesitate to bare his heart in this book.
His collection of poetry encompasses his musings on changing seasons, Naga National Movement, the conflict of Churches in Lotha region, Covid-19, love and harmony of the forefathers, leaders of today, season and other imaginary poems. The book is priced at Rs 200.
The launch programme started with a dedication by Rev Nzio Ezung, Senior Pastor, Wokha Town AG Church. The event MC was Tsankhürhoni Kikon, a well known student activist. Others who were part of the programme were Shanjobeni, Youth Pastor, WTAGC for the invocation; vote of thanks by Rhonathüng Kikon, Chairman, Mekokla Ekhüng Wokha Town; and the benediction by Mhademo Jungio, Associate Youth Director, Wokha Town Baptist Church.
Abenthüng Yanthan, Chairman, Chanka Village Council also spoke during the program.
