Services of special trains extended in NFR

Kamakhya-Anand Vihar Express Special resumed

Maligaon, December 22 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) on Tuesday informed that it has decided to extend the services of few special trains from the month of January, 2021.

Among these special trains, there are two pairs of Festival Special trains running between Guwahati - Secunderabad and Silchar - Guwahati; one pair of Intercity Express Special train running between Katihar and Patna, NFR CPRO Subhanan Chanda informed in a press release.

These trains will continue to run as per existing timings, stoppages, composition and days of run, the release added.

The service of Train No. 02514/02513 Guwahati – Secunderabad weekly Festival Special leaving from Guwahati on every Thursday is extended w.e.f. 07-01-2021 up to 28-01-2021 and leaving from Secunderabad on every Saturday is extended w.e.f. 09-01-2021 up to 30-01-2021. 

The service of Train No. 05612/05611 Silchar – Guwahati Festival Special leaving from Silchar three days in a week- on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday is extended w.e.f. 01-01-2021 up to 31-01-2021 and leaving from Guwahati three days in a week- on Monday, Thursday and Saturday is extended w.e.f. 02-01-2021 up to 01-02-2021.

The service of Train No. 05713/05714 Katihar – Patna daily Intercity Express Special is extended w.e.f. 01-01-2021 up to 31-01-2021.

Running of Train No. 02549 Kamakhya – Anand Vihar Express Special has been resumed for four days in a week instead of seven days leaving from Kamakhya on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday w.e.f. 21-12-2020 and will run up to 30-01-2021. In return direction, Train No. 02550 Anand Vihar – Kamakhya Express Special will also run for four days in a week instead of seven days leaving from Anand Vihar on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Monday w.e.f. 23-12-2020 up to 01-02-2021.

Moreover, the NFR also informed on the resumption of services of Express Special train running between Kamakhya and Anand Vihar which was earlier cancelled due to foggy weather.  

Further, the NFR stated that the details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available in IRCTC website and are also being notified in various newspapers and its social media platforms. Passengers have been requested to see these details and follow the COVID-19 protocols before undertaking their journey.
