
Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): The School of Engineering & Technology, Nagaland University (SET-NU), Dimapur campus held its inaugural programme of the ‘Employability Enhancement Training Program’ on August 17.
Organized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and ICT Academy and hosted by SET-NU, the programme is a skill oriented training which is aligned to the Skill India Vision of the Government of India. Through the programme, B.Tech students from Nagaland University will be trained as per the national training standards supported by ICT Academy and also provided placement assistance at the end.
The inaugural programme was chaired by Teisovi Angami, Co-ordinator, Placement Cell. A short speech was delivered by the Dean, SET-NU Prof. SK Sharma. He encouraged the students to sincerely complete the certification courses offered by the ICT Academy and get a job in the corporate world, according to a press release.
During the programme, there was an exchange of MoU between AICTE-ICT Academy and SET-NU. Subhash Upadhaya, Senior Project Co-ordinator, ICT Academy oriented the students for the Technical Support Executive course which is the first course to be launched.
