KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 28 (MExN): SFS Higher Secondary School and Govt Higher Secondary School, Medziphema emerged as champions of the 8th Interschool Tournament 2024 in the higher secondary and high school categories.
At the finals for higher secondary section, SFS Hr Sec School emerged as the winner scoring 2 goals in the regulated time. The first goal came from Paotinsat Sithlou from a penalty due to a hand ball inside the Box. Kevisede sealed the game with a fantastic solo run pass 4 defenders and netting the ball from zero angle. Despite the fight back, the midfielder of SFS made sure that their custodian was not put into action.
The high school finals saw a closely contested match between GHSS Medziphema and KDHSS. GHSS took the lead early from the boots of Kevineito. The second half saw a more determined forward from KDHSS but their defender were found lacking when two more goals from Letboison and Visalie took the game away. The consolation for KDHSS came from Kezhavizo who found the net in the dying minute.
