KOHIMA: In a solemn and moving ceremony, the Shalom Guest House, situated at the campus of the Shalom Bible Seminary, Secü Zubza was dedicated today by the renowned Rev. Vanlal Nghaka.  Echoing the thoughts of the people in the crowd, the guest speaker Rev. Vanlal remarked, “What a beautiful gift to give to a mother!” Shalom Guest House is dedicated in the memory of Late Mrs. Neisieü by her children Dr. Vikethonyü and family. Built at a cost of Rs. 20 lakhs, the guest house is designed and built to cater to the needs of guests and travelers from anywhere in the world.

Set on the ridge that overlooks the vast magnificent mountain ranges, the guest house simply fits into an ideal retreat for anyone needing space for a spiritual re-connectedness and renewal.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Dr. Vikethonyü recalls how his mother has always emphasized by example to put God’s share (the tithe) first in everything in life.

‘She would pick up the first laid egg, the first born piglet or the first fruit plucked of the field and take it to the Church as an offering of thanksgiving”, he said. “We are so privileged to part-take in this humble project, we are simply trying to practice what we learnt from her life”, he added.

Huzo Meru, the Principal of Shalom Bible seminary spoke briefly on the Seminary Campus and the Guest House Project and challenged the congregation to always live for a cause that is bigger and higher than oneself.

Shalom Bible Seminary is a project of the Angami Baptist Churches Council (ABCC) with an aim to train and equip young minds to effectively translate the Christian message of Hope and Salvation to the world. It is a flourishing project which continues to inspire and facilitate visionary leadership.
