Pungro, January 20 (MExN): The ranks and file of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) 60 Pungro- Kiphire assembly constituency has expressed gratitude to the Government of Nagaland for declaring Shamator as the 16th district of the State.
It further lauded the leadership of Chief Minister, Nephiu Rio, for realising the aspirations of the Yimkhiung people.
The decision in upgradation of Shamator into a full-fledged district and also heeding to the call of the Tikhir community has tremendously boosted the confidence of the people, the unit stated in a press release issued by its president, K Tsalimong.
The office also congratulated the Yimkhiung people of Shamator district for becoming the 16th district of Nagaland and also conveyed opulence and prosperity to the Tikhir tribe.
