SHG community cadres get capacity building training

KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 12 (MExN): Block Mission Management Unit (BMMU) Meluri, Phek under Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) conducted two days training of institutional building/ capacity building for community cadres of Self Help Groups (SHGs) under its block.  

The training was organized by the NSRLM, Meluri block staff at RD Block Ghar on November 7 & 8, 2017. The community cadres were trained in concept of SHGs, roles and functions of village level organization, block level federation, book keeping, management and utilization of revolving funds and community investment funds, micro-credit plan, leadership and visioning, roles and responsibilities of community cadres.

  S. Adahru Mao, Branch Manager, SBI Meluri Branch took a session on importance of bank linkage. He motivated the participants to utilize the benefits of financial institution.  

The core objective of the training for the community cadres is to enable them to facilitate and assist the SHGs for improvement and sustainable livelihood of the members.
