“All the concerned Frontal Organisations of Dimapur to be ready to attend the rally in mass, in their traditional attires,” appealed the Committee.  It further urged all the right thinking citizens of Dimapur to be “prepared and join this movement/Rally for the welfare of the denizens of Dimapur.”

Meanwhile, the office of the GB Union Dimapur (Urban), Dimapur Sardar said that it is “disturbed and anguished” to see the “flaring different opinion and discontentment on the decision” of the government to shift the present DC office to the new complex at Chümoukedima by the Dimapur-based Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) as well as Chümoukedima based organization.

In a press statement, the GBUD (S) said that Nagas has been “plagued with numerous undesirable issues creating further disunity and alienating us to the brink of fragmented society.”

“Making susceptible to move forward in cohesive unit which surely would be a bad precedent for the younger Naga generation,” GBUD (S) stated in the statement issued by its President M Y Ngullie, General Secretary T Onen Jamir and Vice-President W Kholie Kapfo.

As a matured organisation and observing from every viewpoint, the GBUD (S) “in all truthfulness”  appealed the state government “to prudently consider to set up two Deputy Commissioner as rural and urban for the welfare and in the interest of the Dimapur district citizens,” it said.

By doing so, the union stated, “Every section of the society shall be benefitted and contented, as government is of the people, by the people and for the people.”

“ Honestly, can the present Naga generation, be it, the Government, Political leaders, Hohos, NGOs, CSOs, Student bodies as well as the people justly say we had passed a good legacy,” it added.
