Shillong Lajong FC will be joining 22nd NSF Martrys' Memorial Trophy 2022 for the first time on October 18 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

The team will be playing against Dzülouzou FC in the second match at 1:00 PM.

Shillong Lajong FC finished in fourth position of the Shillong Premier League 2022 and their last major Trophy was Shirui Lily Cup, Manipur in 2021.

Shillong Lajong Football Club, formerly known as Lajong SC is an Indian professional football club, based in Shillong, Meghalaya.
Shillong Lajong were the first club from the North East region of India to rise to prominence in the country and the first club to gained promotion to India’s top tier I-League to become the first ever club from the Northeast of India to play top level professional club football.

The club was established in 1983 with the prime objective of improving the declining standard of football in the state, and to spot, train and nurture local talent.

The club is four time champions of regional Shillong Premier League.

Lajong are also known as the torch-bearers of northeastern football for a large part of the decade.
