The day seemed to have passed without much hassle on September 10. But there were two worrisome incidents, which went rather unnoticed by the public.

In two back to back incidents, a shopkeeper had a narrow escape in a shooting linked to a suspected extortion case in Nagarjan, while an explosion was reported at Thilixu.

The shooting incident happened at around 1:30 pm, September 10, at United colony, Ward 20. The police did not specify the motive, but only stated that the victim sustained bullet injury in the left hand and was taken to the hospital. Other official sources said that it was linked to a case of unrequited monetary demand.

The other incident, according to the sources, happened at around 11:30 am when an explosive device, suspected to be a grenade, was hurled at a residential compound of a businessperson in Thilixu. It reportedly landed inside the compound and exploded but there was no report of casualty.
