DIMAPUR, JUNE 8 (MExN): One manager of a petrol pump had a narrow escape after a shot fired by two unidentified assailants missed its target. The incident occurred at Faith petrol pump located in 5th Mile at around 8:30 pm, Saturday. The proprietor of the petrol pump said that the assailants came in a motorcycle. The manager was inside the ticketing counter at the time. The proprietor, while stating that the motive behind the shooting was unclear, added that it was likely that the shooters were trying to “create fear psychosis” as the present debate over taxation ensues. The night before, it is reported that three unidentified individuals had vandalised a petrol pump at 3rd Mile for reasons unknown.
