Six more locally transmitted cases of COVID-19 reported in Manipur

Six locally transmitted cases of COVID-19 are among the 59 fresh cases of the disease reported in Manipur in the last 24 hours.

With these new cases, the tally of COVID-19 cases in Manipur rose to 2,235 on Sunday, an official press release of the COVID-19 Common Control Room said. Of them, 714 are active cases and the number of recovered cases is 1521.  The press release further said that only one case was discharged on Sunday.

Of the six locally transmitted cases of COVID-19, five are from Thoubal district and one from Imphal West district. They have been shifted to Covid care facilities and all necessary medical precautionary measures including containment and contact tracing were in place, the statement said.

Meanwhile, the press release informed that the Health authorities have intensified measures.
