Dimapur, August 2 (MExN): The Department of Biotechnology, St Joseph University (SJU), Dimapur organized international webinar on ‘Biotechnology and health science’ on July 30. The webinar objective of the webinar was to educate, motivate and to understand the importance and impacts in the field of biotechnology, stated a press release from SJU.
SJU Dean of Administration, Sister Arockia Mary delivered the inaugural speech followed by welcome address by Dr Amrita Difusa, HOD of Department of Biotechnology.
The first session, Dr S Parthasarathi, Assistant Professor, Department of Food Science and Technology, Arbaminch University, Ethiopia spoke on ‘Enriched food as nutraceuticals for the recovery of Covid-19.’ In the second session, Dr Bupesh Giridharan, Assistant Professor, Department of Forest Science, Nagaland University shared on ‘Human amniotic membrane as an alternative source on the stem cells for regenerative medicine.’
