Dimapur, October 17 (MExN): St Joseph University (SJU), Department of Social Work organized a webinar to commemorate the International Day for Poverty Eradication on the topic “poverty eradication through entrepreneurship development” on October 17 with Paul Lokho, Director, Pro Rural, Dimapur as the speaker.
A press release by SJU, Dimapur stated that the speaker spoke on the economic transformation through entrepreneurship development. Speaker also emphasized on the sustainable development and poverty eradication. He highlighted some of the process of poverty eradication through demonstration. He stress on the concept of need of participation rather than the need of help. He has shared on the important of rural economic transformation with various examples from North East India.
The Webinar was moderated by Meijianthaipou Ruangmei, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work and Raben Patton, III semester MA Rural Development said the invocation prayer. Rokomenuo Dzuvichu, Assistant Professor welcomed the speaker and participants, the vote of thanks was delivered by Rokoneisano Medoze, Assistant Professor and benediction mass was proposed by Limeka K Jimo, BSW I semester.
