Skilling & entrepreneurship workshop held at SCC

DIMAPUR, JUNe 9 (MExN): In continuation with the Entrepreneurship Development Programme, a session on ‘Skilling and Entrepreneurship’ for Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) registered students was held on June 8 & 9 at Sao Chang College, Tuensang. 

The objective of the workshop was based around the significance of skilling and entrepreneurship, its relevance to business skills required in the present day and its scopes and opportunities. Business skills such as effective communication & Innovation protection, factors involved in the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in academics and the various schemes and support for students was highlighted in the workshop.

Inspector from District Industries and Commerce, Khumchopi Sangtam and Sucheli Sangtam who is the resource person for PMFME scheme graced the occasion with their presentation and gave their insightful inputs as key speaker in the program.

The speakers highlighted about the PMEGP, PMFME & CMMFI and its avenues in context to present market, the scopes associated with skilling in different sector and departmental support given to entrepreneurs.

On the 2nd day, Alemla Chang, owner of Vintage Alem Pvt Ltd & recipient of Governor’s Award for skill development was also one of the resource person. She highlighted the opportunities that are aviation, challenges & encourage students to think beyond.

EDC is an initiative programme under Startup Nagaland policy which is supported by IDAN (Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland) and it is implemented by Educentre School of Business.
