SKK carries out ‘illegal immigrants’ verification drive

21 ILP defaulters held, zero illegal immigrants found  

Zunheboto, November 18 (MExN): The All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) along with district administration and police personnel carried out an “illegal immigrants” verification drive on November 17 at Zunheboto Town.  

During the “intensive” verification drive, 21 Inner Line Permit (ILP) defaulters were apprehended, however not a single illegal immigrant was found, according to a press release from SKK president, Ninoto Awomi.  

It was informed that SKK and district administration will continue to carry out surprise verification drive from time to time. Meanwhile, SKK directed all its range and village students’ unions to be vigilant and further reiterated the emergency union assembly resolution which entrusted the range student unions to carry out verification drive within their respective jurisdiction.  

In the course of the verification drive, SKK appealed to all the responsible citizens to continue to extend full support and cooperation, the release added.
